Can't change pool length on fitbit Inspire (not HR)?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been trying to figure out how to change the pool length for my Fitbit Inspire (not HR) for it to be able to track my distance as well as my lengths. Right now it's only tracking my lengths. I did find where to change from yards to meters in the Advance Settings menu under Units. However, there isn't a Swimming submenu under Advance Settings like so many help pages seem to say there is (see attached screenshot). And since I have the Inspire (not HR) there is no on-device access to swimming settings.

If I can't get this figured out, the swim tracking isn't super helpful to me and I'll likely return the device.

Hi @Maera nice to see you again on the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing this information and the picture of your Fitbit app.

You're right about the information you saw on the Fitbit articles, only Inspire HR has the option to go to the Exercise app on the device itself to manually change the pool length:sleep inspire.PNG

You Inspire will track you sleep information automatically. Your Fitbit device records your swims even if you’re a novice swimmer, meaning you can swim about 6 to 12 lengths of the pool without stopping to rest. If you’re unable to swim this distance, you may notice inconsistencies in your swim data including some lengths not counted. As your swimming ability improves, you’ll likely notice fewer inconsistencies in your data.

Let me know if this answers your question. I'll be around if you need anything else.

This is not helpful. My question is specifically how to set the length of
the pool for my Fitbit inspire.

HI, I've recently changed from the Fitbit Alta to the Inspire HR and am enjoying the watch however I'm not able to work out how to change the pool length. I've been on your forum but event the solutions there do not work, e.g.

  1. On your device, open the Exercise app > Swim.
  2. Swipe up and tap Pool Settings.

When accessing the exercise app, I cannot make any changes to the Swim set up.I've got the latest version of the app.

Are you able to advise with possibly more detail / screenshots on how I can change the pool length?

Thanks Vanessa

Same problem for me. How do I change pool length on Fitbit Inspire (not HR)?

Without that feature it's not much use to me.

The first row of the chart clearly indicates that the basic Inspire is also supposed to provide swim distance and pace as a feature of Automatic tracking.

The log of my swim currently displays an unknown pool length - "--m pool".

I don't care if this length is somehow computed automatically by the app and not manually set but I do care that no pool length is being computed and displayed.  I also care that I'm not seeing any report on distance and pace of my swim.

Is it not possible to change the pool length for the Inspire (not HR)?

several folks are inquiring here and it seems as if it’s not an option given no feedback? Can you confirm?

Hi  It appears to be the same as what I posted for the Charge3.  Swipe until you see the swimming icon, swipe up to see the length/units options.  Tap the length option, change the length, then save. .

Hi, you can change the length by swiping to exercise on your watch, then swipe to swim and then keep swiping to change the length and then save.

Hi, I don't see that option on my Inspire (not HR) watch. I get around the problem by manually entering distance in the app after each swim, but it's not ideal.
