Can’t find heart rate auto setting on app

Hi,

Got my first Fitbit, an Inspire HR and want to turn on the 24 hour heart rate monitor but can’t seem to find the setting in the app. It is set to on on the device. I go to today and then my profile pic on the app, select the device but then there’s no heart rate setting.

Can someone help?

If you set in on the fitbit, there's nothing else to set.  That's where you set it on or off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I feel Fitbit speaks foreign language.

My heart rate readings just stopped 21st November.

12 emails later I still can't follow their instructions.

Everything else is working.

How do I do  check heart-rate tracking is enabled on my Fitbit device?

  • Open the Settings app,(gear icon)

, and find Heart Rate. Make sure it's set to OnI don't find any gear icon. ! I can't find an auto setting in my phone.
  • Can you help please.

@JuliaBerryI think you are looking on phone app instead of on the fitbit itself.

Assuming you have Inspire HR, from clock face, scroll up (swipe down) to 'Settings' (gear icon); tap that and scroll up or down to "Heart Rate'; tap to turn on or off.

Hi Julia,

Best to focus on the gear icon on the watch, scroll up (finger down) a few times past exercise till you find the gear icon. If you’re still struggling, there’s a YouTube video on setting up your device that shows it.

Hope this helps,

Sam

Thank you. I forget about UTUBE, and yet I've found it so useful at other times.

Any thought why heart rate is not getting recorded/tracked in app regularly? Last entry recored was Jan 22... nothing since. Hmm

Sounds like a syncing issue, I can recommend Fitbit twitter support for quick responses to an issue like that.

What worked Kerry? Twitter fitbit support?

Scrolling down on Fitbit itself and turning on bpm

Yeah that does sound odd Dan, when I read other troubleshooting sites I saw people have success with wiping the data on the device and reconnecting, some historical data may be lost though. Before doing that though probably best to try Fitbit support.

Instructions on Fitbit are incorrect! Yours worked, I now have bpm

I found the heart rate setting on my Versa under the settings gear icon.  It was set "ON"

I still have no green lights and no heart rate reading;  The "BPM is off"  appears on my Versa screen.

I've powered down several times without any change.

Sounds broken I’m afraid. I had one replaced, they have an efficient service.  Start by logging a support ticket with them.
