Can't set up Inspire HR

I just bought Fitbit Inspire HR. Discovered then that its not going to work with my Huawei P9 Lite phone even somehow sometimes it seems working but hours and hours... and the watch was never set up.

Then I tried to connect it with my Lenovo Yoga Windows Home laptop. It was not possible to install Fitbit app on the computer from Windows Store - nothing was happening, installation didn't start.

 

I managed then to install Fitbit Connect but it keeps insisting that I am not connected to internet so I still can not set up the watch. Found out that I might need to use a dongle - don't want to buy it because now I have no trust it will work anyway.

 

So how can I use that watch? Any solutions? Or better just return it?

@IneseP Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you setting up your Inspire HR. As you mentioned, your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
