Can't set up replacement of my Inspire HR

I got a replacement fit bit, charged it (I thought) and tried to sync it.  It recognizes it but on the screen is a long straight line and doesn't seem to be syncing.  On the app it says charge battery.  

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the app on my computer?  This is very frustrating.

Thanks a lot for trying those steps, you have done an excellent job. It should be able to connect with your computer. You can confirm that your Fitbit is charging with these instructions. Did you check the steps suggested here: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? If so, please let me know. Usually, that line means that your Fitbit is updating the firmware.

I think it's the cable, they are sending me a new one.  Stay tuned.....
