Can you delete notifications in blocks instead of one by one

Can  you delete notifications more than one at a time? When trying to delete them they freeze after about deleting 5 or 6 and I have to either shut app or even turn phone off.Is it possible  to delete either all at once or select blocks to delete in one go

When you see the notifications just continue swiping up to the top and you should see a tab to delete all the notifications.
