Charge HR won't turn on or take a charge

Yesterday, I had logged 23K+ steps in the hot sun and decided to take a quick dip in a pool. I don’t think I even spent 5 minutes in the pool and that time was largely spent throwing a ball to a dog outside the pool, so very little underwater activity. I dried everything off when I got out and attached it to the charger before showering. Fully charged, I headed out to dinner and noticed the screen wouldn’t turn on during the ride. I tried various tricks to no available, but at least the green lights on the back were still on at that point. Nothing happened when I tried to reset it on the charger once I returned home, but wore it to bed on the off chance that it was still operating and will return to normal by morning. No such luck. Now, the green lights are no more and all attempts to charge/reset it have failed. How do I fix this issue?

@SleepyMuse It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I totally understand how you feel since your Inspire HR is not turning on or taking a charge. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please let me know if your Inspire HR vibrates when you put it on the charger. In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article may contain steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. After this, charge your tracker for 2-3 hours and see if it gets back on track.

Hope this helps.

Hi JuanJoFitBit. Thanks for responding. I’ve kept the clean device on the clean charger since I posted the request for help. Nothing has happened: no vibration activity when connecting to the charger, no screen activity when connecting to the charger, and no green lights on the back. I’ve also tried to get it to sync with the app, which it did once just before this post, but not on the second (and subsequent) attempt immediately following the first. The app displayed a battery icon with a slash through it with the number 7 next to it.

Edit: Everything the help article suggested were already done multiple times over the weekend, if applicable.
