Charging cord broken. Showing error message “Check charger. Battery not charging”

Whenever I plug in my device, I get the message “Check charger. Battery not charging.”

 

I’ve already:

  • Cleaned the contacts on both the charger and device.
  • Tried multiple USB ports. Other devices can charge using the same port.
  • Restarted the device.

Occasionally if I juggle things around enough it starts charging for a second before disconnecting again.


I assume there’s something wrong with the charging cord at this point but I don’t know how to address the issue.
