With such a short charging cord, how do you charge this device? Mine constantly disconnects from the charger because I can't seem to set it in any manner that the cord stays attached.

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @Kim7701, let me give you a warm welcome to our community.
To charge your Fitbit Inspire plug the charging cable into a USB port on your computer, you can also use a UL-certified USB wall charger, or another low-energy device if you want to use an electric extension. Attach the other end of the cable to your Fitbit device. Charging your device to 100% may take 1-2 hours.
Fitbit Inspire charger has a magnetic surface which should be helping your Fitbit to stay connected while charging. If you think this is not working properly, please let me know so we can check the next step.

Let me know if you have questions about this.
