Connected GPS (bluetooth disconnected). Inspire HR & Galaxy S10

I start an activity on my Fitbit, and it pairs with my phone for connected GPS, about 10 sec. later it disconnects, and my phone notification says Connected GPS Bluetooth disconnected. The activity map only shows a line for those few seconds. Whenever i open the fitbit app and leave it on, it will stay connected, but if i shut my screen off it disconnects.

Devices: Inspire HR  + Samsung Galaxy S10

most up to date Fitbit firmware, Phone updated with latest update, Fitbit app updated to latest update.I have tried to troubleshoot myself by:

  • resetting fitbit and phon
  • I cleared user data on fitbit
  • I deleted and reinstalled fitbit app
  • ran the app with "always connected" both on and off
  • turned off and on device notifications in the fitbit app
  • remove + add new device in fitbit app
  • fitbit app has all permissions allowed, including location services all the time.
  • tried with "optimize app for battery" on and off, on fitbit app, as well as bluetooth. It is allowed to run in the background
  • I thought it was my earbuds, so i tried with bt earbuds, wired earbuds, as well as no music at all.
  • i have unpaired and reconnected bluetooth
  • I have deleted my bluetooth data and cache
  • deleted fitbit app cache

I'm not sure when it started happening, as it's not something i use too often, however now that i can't go to the gym, i've been attempting to use it on walks daily. I'm all out of ideas, and frustrated.
