How do I get Fit Bit to stop the harassing, repeated pop ups asking me to turn on GPS? I DON’T want to turn it on. I don’t want FitBit to know where I am. Similarly, I don’t want to leave the App open. How can I stop this annoying practice - making repeated noises to tell me to turn it on. I would have if I wanted it on.

I wonder if part of this is that the fitbit android app requires location services to be enabled in order to sync. This is a requirement introduced by google with android 6. See the following help file for more info: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2134/

Thank you, SteveH. I guess I should have said I have Apple. I am so annoyed I think I will switch to the Apple phone and dump Fit Bit. At least with Apple, they will help me at the Apple store

I agree completely. Please quit asking to turn on GPS. I don't want tracking. I don't want to drain the battery. I replied "NO THANKS": I meant quit asking FOREVER. If for some strange reason I decide to turn it on, I'll look for an option in preference. Just quit asking!!!!!
