Inspire 2 shows "intense activity from 12:06 to 4:25 PM but I wasn't doing any exercise other than walking out to get the mail. While sitting on the couch cross stitching, my watch flashed that I had earned 750 active zone minutes for the week. What???

Zone minutes are based on heart rate. Check your heart rate graph during that time. That won't necessarily solve it, but the underlying issue would be your heart rate, not zone minutes which are a by-product of heart rate.

OK, just did that. It doesn't show the elevated heart rate for the real time I exercised, even though that's recorded under exercise. Instead, it shows elevated heart rates for four hours after I exercised. I don't think it accurately recorded my heart rate.

Only tangentially related, but I knit and play the harp, and when I do those things, sometimes Fitbit thinks I'm swimming.

@Fluti314 If you never swim, on phone app:
days of exercise tab > gear icon (top right) > auto-recognized exercises: swimming - turn off with slider
then if will never auto-recognize swimming.
