Erroneous heart rate

Hi.  I have been seeing my Inspire HR logging heart rate while I was not wearing it.   Sometimes it was at 110 bpm and other times 66.  When I was wearing it, at times it registers a rate much higher than it is actually beating. Once I was on the sofa resting and it registered 118 bpm, and using my health tracker on my phone it was 66 bpm.  It also caused my wrist to hurt, and another time it went numb.  ?

Hello @alidskin nice to see you around, welcome to the Community Forums! Thanks for sharing all those details in your post. I'll be glad to help you to troubleshoot your Fitbit Inspire HR.

It's odd to see that you're getting heart rate reading when you're not wearing your Fitbit. I'd like to confirm if you have not been wearing your Fitbit for at least a minute before checking your heart rate. Some other times if you remove your tracker but it keeps moving the tracker may display an erroneous heart rate reading.

You can just restart your Fitbit Inspire HR and give it for the next days.

I'd like to share with you that our heart-rate tracking technology, known as PurePulse, is specially designed to give you a more complete picture of your health and fitness. Heart rate can be affected by numerous factors, such as personal physiology, location of wear, stress level, caffeine intake, medication.

Please confirm how are you wearing your Fitbit here. I'd also suggest to check the wear and care tips to avoid issues with your arm and skin. If the issues persist after trying those steps let me know.

Keep me posted!
