Exercise goal crushed! Thru driving :(

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I crushed my exercise goals 💪, only problem is that I did it through logging driving as an activity in attempts to reduce my step count. 😭

Its quite frustrating, coz everything else seems to work ok, and the app and dashboard look quite helpful, but all the activity from the incorrect steps surely must be affecting the metrics?

Probably makes sense to only wear it when doing a specific activity, and maybe going to bed, don't know how that will affect the heart metrics...

Hi, @Ringes , yes, that's why I quit logging driving -- you get exercise credit for it, which does seem silly.

I decided that the occasional extra steps you get from driving are less worrisome than getting exercise credit.

I do find that I get fewer false steps from driving if I slip my Fitbit into my pocket or tuck it into my bra when I am driving.

It's so ridiculous that their "workaround" to fix the thousands of steps added while driving is to log "driving" as an activity.

And then their workaround actually counts driving as an exercise? Just the cherry on the big fat turd of a sundae the newest generation of fitbits are.

And they refuse to address the issue. My customer support ticket is in stall mode now. They say there is nothing wrong with my device and my ticket has been elevated and they will contact me when there is an update. It's been more than a week and there's no update.

They're just stalling so the device is past the time limit to replace it. Such shady business practice; whoever's policy this is must have worked in the insurance company before and subscribe to the DDD policy -- deny, delay, decline.
