So how can I have 101 exercise minutes but only 82 active minutes? It’s happened before and I have gotten no response that made any sense.

@Fittingly1 Active minutes can seem a little convoluted and they are based on old activity recommendations. The CDC used to encourage 10 at a time. This would help people get their recommended activity if they couldn't fit in a block of exercise time. This is why you must do 10 minutes in the fat burn zone before they start to accumulate. Imagine this. You walk for five minutes below zone, speed up and do 20 minutes in the fat burn zone, then slow down for the last five minutes out of the fat burn zone. You did 30 minutes of exercise, but will get 20 active minutes.
The American Heart Association, CDC, and WHO changed their activity recommendations several years ago. They now recommend 150 min/week of moderate activity, 75 min/wk of vigorous activity, or a combination of the two. This is why the newer Fitbits give zone minutes instead of active minutes. Active minutes are out of date. I am adding this explanation because I looked at your profile. I saw that you voted for a Feature Request asking for a choice between active and zone minutes. I'm confident that Fitbit won't give users the choice. Active minutes are out of date.
