Exercise shortcuts not updating

I've changed the exercise shortcuts in the Fitbit app, even though my device has synced it's still showing the default shortcuts. Any idea why?

Hi @GoStar11, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and the details that were shared in your post. If your Inspire HR is still showing the default exercise shortcuts on the exercise app, I suggest you to try a restart process following the next steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Hi, I had the same problem today. I updated the exercise shortcuts however the updates were not reflected in the auto-recognized exercise.

I restarted the tracker, but nothing happened.

Appreciate your advise, thanks!

Hi @Imweak, welcome aboard.

Thanks for your post and for trying the restart process that was shared on my previous post. To better assist you with this and further investigate, can you please let me know if you synced your Inspire after changing the SmartTrack settings? AS it turns out, even though you save the changes, you need to sync your device to reflect them on your next exercise.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Ricardo,

Yes I've synced/ restarted my tracker twice since I made the changes but nothing happened. Wonder if I need to delete the data from previously used Alta but not sure how's that relevant. Wish I could send you the screenshots.

Thanks for your reply @Imweak.

I appreciate your clarification. Let me share with you that if you change the Exercise Shortcuts of your Inspire HR, such change will be reflected on the Exercise app of your device and not the SmartTrack auto-recognized activities. To learn more about the difference, please check: Which activities does my Fitbit device track automatically? and How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
