Feedback about Fitbit Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought the Inspire HR last week. I've worn it for two full days and the inaccuracy is ridiculous. I dont wear it in my sleep as I find sleeping with jewellery on uncomfortable. I woke up and put it straight on my wrist and it had already counted 146 steps. Just from picking it up and putting it on. Then it counted my motorbike ride to work as over 2000 steps. Just now I've been sitting still reading and I got a notification to say that it counted my 15min aerobic workout. I literally couldn't have been moving any less! Having seen all the complaints on this forum, it is packed up and being returned. Absolute waste of money.

Hi @SunsetRunner welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks a million for sharing your feedback.

Sorry for the issues that you're having with your Fitbit Inspire HR accuracy, Fitbit is always trying to give the best options to our users so before to send it back I'd like you to read the following information: Our team is working on this and your feedback is really important for us. You can try the steps suggested here too: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

Please note, when working at a desk, cooking, or performing other activities with arm movements, a device on your wrist may add some steps. When you’re doing activities that involve arm movement such as working or cooking you often walk a few steps in-between stationary periods as well, so the device tries to give you credit for those steps.

It's important to specify whether you wear the device on your dominant or non-dominant wrist during setup, but you can do so on your Fitbit app:

  • The dominant wrist setting decreases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any over counting of steps when your body is not moving. Your dominant hand is the one you use for writing and eating.
  • The non-dominant wrist setting increases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any under counting of steps.

If you want to remove extra steps from your daily total check this information:  How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Thanks for your patience! Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions

Absolutely not, I won't change my mind. The product is not fit for purpose.

I shouldn't have to use tricks and hacks to make your product work. It should just work!
