I hope others are happy with their Inspire HR's. I am not.
1. Half the time I cannot see the clock face. I tap twice, and again, an over and over and see nothing.
2. My last fitbit (Alta 2?) counted my steps while I was on my treadmill even though my hands were on the bars. It didn't make sense to me that it worked, but I saw in this community that it did so I tried it. Great! So I get the HR so I can monitor the heart rate real time, but I can't see the heart rate because I have to have it on my ankle/shoelaces, etc. I have to hold on with both hands so I cannot swing one arm. On the other hand, I can sit in a chair and swing my arm and get steps counted. I know that Garmins are like this too. It would just be really interesting to know why my last fitbit worked.
3. All of the tips, encouragements to share, upgrade are a waste of time and space. I just want to see the dashboard.
4. The authenticity of the sleep times are questionable but interesting. I have had those before, but the sleep score? Yes, I read about it but it just seems like a software trick and adds more numbers I don't need.

@DianeKay Thanks for being part of our Community!
Let me help you with your Inspire HR. I will number my responses to address all your questions.
1.- For the screen make sure you tap at the base of the screen as this is the ideal place to the screen turns on. Also make sure you have screen wake turned on on the settings by long pressing the button.
2.- Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may be still but you could be moving or walking. This may happen when you are pushing a cart or holding bars while walking or using a treadmill. For added sensitivity you can try wearing your device on your dominant hand but select that hand as non dominant on the device’s settings to make it more sensitive to movement. Also make sure your hands are moving so the device can properly track your steps. Not sure what the difference may be now but you could try wearing your tracker loosely so it bounces on your wrist so it can detect your steps but HR reading may not be accurate due to this.
3 and 4.- If you wish you can share your ideas on how to improve these features in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.
Let me know how it goes.
