Feedback about Inspire HR long-term reliability

My Inspire HR was given to me as a gift in March 2019 (so, just over a year ago).  For the first year, the battery lasted 5 days, and now it only lasts about 3.  The Fitbit no longer charges completely reliability.  I've tried cleaning the contacts. It's 50/50 chance whether it will start charging when I connect it to the charger.  Also, it will randomly stop charging.  I'm looking to purchase another device, but I am not sure I want another Inspire HR or any Fitbit product.  What are others' experiences on long-term reliability of specific, currently-available Fitbit devices?

The Inspire HR does everything I want, with a decent profile, but I can't replace my tracking device every year.  It's not only because of the cost; it's also not sustainable.  The new, "throwaway technology" culture is so wasteful.  I'd pay double for a quality product, backed by a quality company, that will last and is fixable.  If there is such a Fitbit product, I'd be delighted... (I know this is a Fitbit forum...I'll be crowdsourcing this info from a number of places.)

I hope something is done about this and soon! It is 2023 and nothing has been done, I had a similar issue with my Inspire HR and now I'm stuck. Deciding on purchasing another fitbit or going to another company all together.
