Fitbit GPS inaccuracies with activities Pixel 3

I like to track my activities like walking/cycling with my Fitbit inspire hr. The watch is connected with my Google Pixel 3 (set to high accuracy).

Ending an activity the data is copied to my Strava account. I do not use Strava to track activities! Difference in distance between the apps Fitbit 5.45 km and Strava makes 8.51 of it. Looking closer to the route I see al lot of zigzags.

Does anyone recognise this?

Is this due to the watch or bad GPS signal from phone, I have the phone in a strap around my arm so there should be a good line of sight with satellites? Settings in the phone are set to 'high accuracy'.

Hope you can sort me out

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Community.

Let me help you with your discrepancy in the distance shown on Strava and Fitbit. I don't know how Strava interprets or see the data from Fitbit so you would need to reach out to their Support team for more information. Based on the data you are providing it sounds as if your Fitbit app is recording the distance as miles instead of kilometers and Strava is showing this as kilometers (still there are some discrepances as 5.45 miles should be around 8.71 kilometers). From Fitbit side of things I suggest you go to your profile and look for units where you can change it to km, save and sync your tracker and see if future activities still show this discrepancy. Also you can try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Let me know how it goes.
