Fitbit Inspire HR Not Syncing or Holding a Charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought my Fitbit in January. I had issues with it syncing in the beginning, but that seemed to get better. Then about 2 weeks ago it stopped holding a charge. It has to stay on the charger for days and then it might work for 8 hours before it loses the charger and won’t sync anymore. The app

says it can’t find the device.

I have an iPhone XR

I’m not sure what can be done. I’m very disappointed as I really liked the style.

@JBerge Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply!

Let me help with your Inspire HR not holding a charge nor syncing properly. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life. If the syncing issue persist please try these suggestions.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi,
I followed your instructions yesterday. The watch was cleaned. It was plugged into my laptop. And after a few hours and I did the hard restart.
The charge lasted less than 8 hours. 😔
Please advise.

My Fitbit Inspire HR, which I received as a gift 9/16/19, is holding a charge for about 18 hours now.  It's been steadily declining.  When I initially started up the device, I charged every 4-5 days.   Is this a battery defect?  I put into place all the battery conservation suggestions.
