Fitbit Inspire HR display not working

Hi. I've had my Fitbit for slightly less than a month and already the display is not working correctly; it also keeps 'inventing' exercise and recording the same!

Firstly, the display does not come on at all now unless I physically push the side button. Not always practical when I simply only want to know the time! I've tried re-starting, checking it's fully charged, etc, but this does not change anything.

Secondly, it keeps recording swimming sessions which, whilst the country is still pretty much on lockdown, I can guarantee I have attended!! Whilst this model was specifically chosen so as to be able to wear it when I swim, it's safe to say I won't be doing so for quite a while!

This is my first experience of Fitbit and so far I'm not very impressed.

@Hevs73 It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR isn't working as it should. For the display make the Screen Wake option is turned on by long pressing the button. This will turn on the screen when you turn your arm.

Regarding the activity detection your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Maybe you are moving your arms in a way that could be interpreted as swimming. I have seen this with other members when they use a rocking charge or when knitting.

Let me know how it goes.
