Fitbit Inspire HR is not calculating floors

My new device is not calculating floors.  Can you provide a suggestion as to what I can do to see why this feature is not working?  I have had the device for 2 days and it has shown 0 floors for both days.    All other features are working fine.

Sorry, but Inspire series do not count floors - do not have required altimeter.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
