Fitbit Inspire HR logging small amount of calories for long run

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Recently got an Inspire HR after my Alta HR kicked the bucket.

Im noticing that sometimes it greatly undercounts calories when I exercise.

I went for a 9 mile, 120 minute road run. Heart rate avg of 144. It logs the steps, time, and HR and ends up with a whopping .... 88 calories.

What could could be causing this? The Fitbit does appear to log calories more realistically sometimes (such as 120 burned for a walk later that day) but this time it I obviously didnt.

Ive also found that it won’t log much of any peak time, no matter the the intensity of the run. Not sure if the these are related but thought I would would mention it

Thanks in advance.

@Counterpoint It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not showing the correct amount of calories for your run. Start by checking your personal information (age, weight, height, etc.) as this is used to calculate your BMR which influences the calories you see on the activities. Also log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. You can restart your tracker too. I also noticed that you already contacted our Support team so if you have other questions feel free to let them know so they can further assist you.

Keep me posted.

Thanks! Yes, I did contact support. They had me restart my tracker. All the
other settings look normal.

So far... so good! Just tried it today and it seems back to normal.
