My fitbit Inspire HR has been working fine right up until this morning when I woke up and the screen was blank and couldn't be "woken up" by pressing the side button.
I connected the fitbit to its charging station and held the button for many seconds. This restart method has worked for me in the past, but today I have tried it many times to no avail.
Sometimes holding the button would bring up a smiley face, at which time I would let go of the button. But, after a second or two, the face would just disappear and the screen would go black again.
I tried this 10 or 20 times throughout the day, leaving the fitbit on charge in between attempts (hoping it just needed a good top up).
Later in the day the fitbit screen changed and started showing the logo (which has animated dots - brightening and darkening) with the digits "001" below it.
There is no other error message, just the logo and 001.
I took the fitbit off its charger 45 minutes ago and the screen is still lit with the logo + 001.
Needless to say that the device has not been able to synch to my phone or computer all day (the last synch was apparently at 6am this morning - before I got up).
I would really appreciate any help or advice from customer support or community members.
