Fitbit Inspire band is not what I expected

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently upgraded to an Inspire from One. The band is awful. It is so difficult to close. When I get it closed (at least I think it's closed), the band opens easily when bumping up against something. It's going to be so easy to lose this thing. For something that isn't inexpensive, the band surely could be designed better. I'm regretting the purchase. The frustration level is high. What are the options? Can I return the band for another one?

Hi @halfnoteny  your band is under warranty, so the fastest way would be to exchange your Inspire for a new one. You can also get with customer support. The Inspire does have an optional clip, which you may like. Get with customer support. Their phone number is (877)623-4997 between the hours of 4am-8pm PST Mon-Fri, and 6am-5pm PST on weekends, if you're in the USA. If you're not in the USA or if you prefer an online chat or email, then click for contact options

Hi @halfnoteny I know the bands can be challenging when they are new, so you might try a bit of Vaseline or something similar, so you can more easily secure the band closed. Another option is to order a band with a different closure. Fitbit sells several options, but you also find very inexpensive aftermarket bands on Amazon HERE. I hope that helps.

@Odyssey13 Thank you for the info - much appreciated. I ended up choosing to replace the band with something else. It was just too frustrating to put it on one-handed, and then not knowing for sure if it would stay put.

@MarciM Thank you for the info. I ended up ordering a band from Amazon. It works like a dream! I'm not sure why Fitbit doesn't offer a choice at first purchase. It makes me not want to continue using/purchasing Fitbit products.
