Fitbit Inspire for kids

Hello,

My children have been gifted the new Fitbit Inspire. Please advise how I can create a family account for them. I have tried but I am only given the option for Fitbit Ace and Ace 2 as device options. Both my children are younger than 18. I need to set up an account for each of them to set the device to our country time and settings.

Your prompt assistance will be appreciated.

That makes it difficult.  You cant set them up with the Inspire on a Family account and they are too young for their own Fitbit accounts unless you lie about their ages.  That is up to you - I am not recommending it - but it means you don't have access to all they do in their accounts.

Hi @SamanthaJ286  You cant set up a family account for the Inspire or Inspire HR. It is not possible. The only trackers supported on the Family Account are the Ace and Ace 2. How old are your kids? If they are older than 13 they can have their own account.

Just want to mention that we are in the same situation. We gave the Inspire as a gift to our 12 year old kid. Very disappointing that it is not possible to have him included in the joy of tracking runs.

Totally agree. A 12 yo is caught in the middle. They don’t like the the animations anymore. But as a parent we still need that control.😢

Agree! My 12 yo daughter received the Inspire 2 from her grandparents for Christmas today. We can’t put her on the family account, so now we either lie about her age & jeopardize safety online, or we just return the thing. So much for promoting good health practices in middle schoolers!
