Fitbit Inspire not holding a charge, syncing and display goes blank

I bought this fitbit about 2 months ago. I HATE IT!  The screen goes blank for a couple of days. Nothing I do brings it back up. I have trouble getting it to sync to my android phone but once it does it will update my steps. I am not able to sleep with it because the battery is down to 50-60% by 7:00pm.  This was a waste of money

@Mae-Mae It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Inspire not working as it should. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

Regarding the syncing issues you can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

The restart in these instructions should help with the display getting stuck.

Let me know how it goes.
