Fitbit activity and active minutes

When I do a workout or go cycle or walk as a workout, sometimes the fitbit counts a few active minutes or steps. And when I add the workout as aerobic workout or walk or outdoor bike, because it didn’t count the whole workout, it adds the minutes, active minutes, steps and calories. So then the amount of calories etc. is not the right amount anymore right?

When you manually log the workout afterward because it didn't get detected, the parameters you input for the workout override any data that the fitbit collected during the same time period, so it is not counting them twice.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
