Fitbit deleted my steps. Is there a way to add them back in?

I walked about 855 steps during a work break. I did not note the times, so when I got back, I logged the walking and estimated the time. Then I received a notification that my Fitbit HR had auto-detected my walk. From that I was able to get a more accurate picture of when my walked started and ended and how long it was. So, I deleted the walk I had logged, and entered in the walk again, using the more accurate information. However, after I did this, the Fitbit app deleted all the steps I did during the walk. They were not appearing on the app, but they were still showing on my Fitbit, so I then synced from the app, and it deleted my steps on my device as well! Help. This is very demoralizing, esp since this is the first day I am using the device. Is there any way to fix this?

If you delete the walk that you logged it should bring back your steps.

I'm really not sure why it does this, but it's happened to me on a few occasions - maybe someone can shed some light on the reasoning.

That did indeed bring back my steps. Thank you! I still wish I could log that walk, but at least I have the steps that I did. I guess next time. I will wait for the auto-detect and then log my walk, making sure it's accurate so I don't have to delete it?
