Fitbit inspire HR - GPS?

I have the fitbit inspire HR.

GPS is on my smartphone

WIFI is knocked off, only running cellular data.

Bluetooth is on

Phone is my pocket and device on my wrist

GPS is on the fitbit settings and confirms it's et for walk and run

I have the fitbit app running on my smartphone

I went for a short walk yesterday, took me about 10 minutes one way and same back, logged on https://www.fitbit.com/dashboard > Log > Activities > View Details (of the walk).  Only showing, steps taken, calories burned, but no map route.

What am I doing wrong? Am I meant to see a symbol to show it's connecting/connected so I know? Getting really fed up as I want it for running and and compare timings but at the moment seems a waste of £90!

Hello @Marvel1 and a warm welcome.  I'm sorry, but your link can't be accessed.  That is your private data.

Here is a link to the Inspire HR manual.  If you look at p 32-33, you might get some insight as to why your walk didn't get properly mapped.  I want to note that before your phone connects, the screen shows an animated smartphone -- with a line moving through.  Did you see this step and did your phone connect?  Did you see an image like the one on p 33 of the manual before you started?  Did you give your phone permission to access your GPS?

Also, is your phone on the list of compatible devices?  If your phone is not fully compatible, you might not get full function.
