I have a new fitbit inspire hr, it seems to record steps when moving by hand, has anyone else had problems.

Hi @Gen78  and welcome to the Fitbit forums. These devices are wrist based, so moving your hand will result in steps being tracked. If you're pushing a shopping cart or holding things in your hand which keeps it still, you won't see as many steps recognized. You're fine. It's all a learning experience.

Ok, I was working from home and moving my arm a lot and I just noticed the
count going up. Thank you.

If it adds too many steps, you can remove them by adding an activity in the log, manually. People who play guitar or knit have posted on the forums, too. Glad you're working safely from home.

You could also set the tracker for the dominant hand if it isnt.
