Fitbit not recognizing bike ride

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got a Fitbit Inspire.  While it appears to be correctly tracking my steps, it did NOT recognize my bike ride.  I checked, and the biking "auto-detect" was toggled ON.  My phone was on me during my ride.  What is going wrong?

I have had the same issue now for two days since getting my new Inspire HR - Very frustrating and I even called Customer Service which tried to assist - still not working properly

I have been using Fitbit for three years now and just upgraded to the new Fitbit Inspire HR ... I am an avid bike rider and was hoping that this unit would track my bike exercise which it is not ... I contacted customer support on this issue yesterday and they had me reset and try some different settings. I rode for over an hour today (15 miles) and there was no record of the ride - other than recording my heart rate and some 2,000 or so steps - very frustrating.  I use an IPhone 8 Plus and the location services (GPS) was allowing Fitbit "Always" connected as recommended.  My record for customer service assistance was #35200377 .  I am really hoping that this issue can be resolved.  The unit seems to be tracking all else okay (steps, calories, HR, etc... ).

Hi, I’ve had the same issue too. It’s always worked before & just stopped recognising my bike rides about 4 days ago. Very frustrating. I have checked all the settings as suggested on help page. Customer support please help. Thank you

I can't figure out how to turn on how to track the bike ride - I'm wondering if it's an HR thing only?
