I'm Dutch, and so I cycle a lot. Often shorter distances between 15 and 30 minutes. I cycle to work every day, 15-20 minutes one way. I've had my fitbit since July, and my bike rides showed up in my app under my activity as 'outdoor bike'. If the ride was around 10 minutes it often didn't show up, but the rides from 12+ minutes were always recorded.
However, something is wrong, because this is not happening anymore. I didn't change any settings, I didn't change my daily route, but somehow most of my bike rides don't show up any more.
As an example:
Yesterday I went to visit a friend. Cycling towards the appointment was recorded (10 minutes), but the way back wasn't - and I'm sure I took longer on the way back. There were several hours in between the two bik rides.
Earlier this week, the same thing happened: cycling towards an appointment (18 minutes) was not recorded, but the way back (also 18 minutes)was.
What could be happening?

Hi @Marww - The default setting for automatic exercise recognition is 15 minutes. You can adjust that in the settings in your dashboard. I believe the minimum is 10 minutes. Let me know if that doesn't address the issue.

Hi @Ozzie65
Yes, the default is 15, I changed it to 10 when I got the fitbit. And, it has recorded bike rides between 10 and 15 minutes. However, now, it doesn't. Even longer rides are not always recorded.
