Font size on Inspire HR

The Alta HR is easy to read with larger, vertical text. If the Inspire is replacing the Alta, the new tracker is unreadable to those of us who need glasses (but don't wear them all the time). Why no option to change the font? Can't use a tracker that's too hard to read.

This does NOT change the font of the data, like # of steps. The Clock is in a readable font size. Everything else is NOT.

The font of # step seems to me a little bit big so at least I can read, though not much big changes. Hope that helps.

What do you mean a little bigger? Doing what shows you a little bigger font? Do you have a screen shot on something like steps to show the font size?

Hi, this is what I posted the other day to reply to one of the users. Hope
this helps.

Go to your account, select your connected device “Inspire HR”, see “Clock
Faces” icon and click, go to tab “ all clocks”, choose the one you prefer.

We returned the Inspire HRbecause my wife could not read the small font so no longer have it experiment with the clock faces to see if one of them has larger font. That is why I am asking the question. Are any of the alternate clock faces giving a larger font than the default clock face as it appears. Specifically Is the font showing number of steps larger on one of the clock faces than the default clock face. Same wuestion with respect to heart rate, etc

Still not have ideal large font, but seems to me it is little bit larger than the default font so I can read and bear with it to keep the device.

Thanks - it is better!

No. the other clock faces are not useful. They only change the CLOCK (i.e. the time). The other views, e.g. # of steps, remains the same as before.

Another user just replied to me that it is getting better after the change,
so I think it is very subjective with people's expectations.

If you consider the change from 8-point to 8.5 or 9-point font, then I guess it is slightly better. Either way, I cannot read it. I'm looking for 14-point font: 53 year old eyes, do not run with reading glasses or carry them in my pocket when running. It was really simple to change font on my Samsung Gear Fit, which I wish I still had.

The best solution is to champion Fitbit to change the app code to make large font available. I notice on the Community, many users complained about Inspire HR font.

I agree with Mike. The font on text notifications is way too tiny. It would be so easy to have it run horizontal like the Aria in a larger font. I’m disappointed that it’s a year later and this hasn’t been addressed. I bought the inspire to replace my aria with the main benefit being able to receive texts that now I can’t even see.

I was disappointed that the numbers were so small.  I had an alta before and loved it. At least you had an option to make the numbers bigger.

There is plenty of space on my Inspire HR. Give me a Clock Face option to show me steps and cals or any 2 or 3 items i want. Just poor interface design.

The small font on my wife's Inspire HR is a deal breaker for us. Very disappointed that FitBit  released the product with this design limitation, and worse, blames the lack of response/improvement on the small display size. There are ways around the small display as many others have pointed out in this forum. My FitBit is worn out and needs to be replaced, and I will be looking elsewhere.

Even those individual stats are in a really small font.

Best Answer

I agree. I’m frustrated that Fitbit hasn’t addressed this problem yet. The stats on my Inspire HR like steps and heart rate are almost impossible to read especially outdoors with the glare.

Best Answer

Yes I just brought one last night as my Alta died - and it is so hard to read the stats on any of the options - the font sizes NEED TO BE BIGGER!!

Looks like I may be returning mine too now....................so disappointed as I like everything else about it.

It’s incredible that people been complaining about this for a while and they still haven’t changed.
