Font size on Inspire HR

The Alta HR is easy to read with larger, vertical text. If the Inspire is replacing the Alta, the new tracker is unreadable to those of us who need glasses (but don't wear them all the time). Why no option to change the font? Can't use a tracker that's too hard to read.

Yes please please increase the font. Love my Fitbit but I have a really difficult time seeing.

I emailed yesterday and complained about the tiny font size with my new Inspire HR after several year’s Alta usage.  I stated that this is not a feature request, it is a design flaw. Fitbit should consider this is their priority to fix it. It is disappointing that so many members mentioned this unreadable font size, Fitbit is still “ not planned”.

Please increase the font size, decrease the icon. We need to read STATS, not watching ICON.

  1. I absolutely agree as so do so many others. Why not just fix the dam thing, and be done
  2. with it, then we will all be happy.
Best Answer
I agree. This is ridiculous! I am not happy with this product at all.

I am very disappointed that Fitbit has chosen not to address the issue of font size.
Yesterday I received a notification that an upgrade was available,   There was no information on details of the upgrade, other than, it would take approximately 30 minutes.
I was hopeful that the font size would be corrected. Unfortunately It was not.
Very disappointing.

Yes, very disappointed. I upgraded mine yesterday too hoping the font size correction was included. The first thing that I checked right after the update is the font size, but no change at all. Fitbit, you provide a device that doesn’t function properly with so many complains, please hear us and take action, not route each of us to “feature request” board for a year now.

I'm so bummed.  Got the Inspire yesterday to replace an Alta.  GRRRRRRRR.  If you are over 50, you are NOT going to like the font size on the steps.  If I had seen this in a review I wouldn't have bought it.  I need to write a review on Amazon I guess to warn people (maybe someone has but I totally missed that one). HEY FITBIT.... DO IT LIKE THE ALTA!!!  Make sideways an option for the clock and the steps.  So simple.  They did it for years.  Why stop???

Agree.  I kind of want my money back.  What good is it to go on a run with a tracker that I cannot read?  Sure, I could carry reading glasses in my pocket, or I can see stats when I get home, or I can just carry my phone and use "Map my run instead."  I used to have a Samsung Fitness tracker, which had many options for LARGE FONT.  I want it back!!

Thanx, absolutely agree. Everyone with FITBIT INSPIRE saying same. If time can be seen ok
Why not No’s that are essential to fitbit. They are not listening to us, that’s it.

Would it be possible for Fitbit to make the Alta HR screens compatible with the Inspire HR screens? There are no options currently available to configure the Inspire screen lengthwise along the face of the watch - only sideways, significantly limiting the size of the font.

It is not hard to increase the font size at all. if their edvelopers can't handle this they need new developers.  This is very easy to do. you will note the clock has many font sizes and if tehy can do graphics, then have a good pixel depth.

DevFixer, indeed. I don't know why Fitbit didn't take action with so many
users complain about this font size. If the developers cannot handle the
modification, Fitbit needs to recall Inspire HR to allow a replacement!!!

I am very disappointed that Fit Bit has taken no initiative to address the numerous posts regarding the font size.  I have contacted them multiple times asking whether they are aware of the issue and whether it was being addressed.   Today I called Fit Bit and asked to speak to a supervisor.  I was on hold for 19 minutes.  After explaining the issue, and the numerous posts on the community forum, which I have contributed to, the lady I spoke to, advised she would send me a link to the community site, and I should make a comment there.  Really????  I wondered whether she heard or understood anything I said.  Again I explained that I was part of the thread on the the community site and have made numerous posts.  She advised there was nothing more she could do.    So unfortunately, I spent 30 minutes on the phone, and made no progress.  My apologies.  I had hoped to have some positive feedback to share.

If the graphics were smaller, there would be plenty of space for larger text in most cases.

100% in agreement! Just got my Inspire HR today. I've never had a fitness tracker before and I was excited to get it and encouraged by all the great reviews, but I'm seriously considering returning it.  Went for a hike with my sons and because we were outside, I did not bring my reading glasses and my sons had to read the thing for me.  I can't even see the numbers when I squint!  And the **ahem**ed thing registered 6 steps for every step I took.  WTH, fitbit?

Best Answer

Absolutely agree. I can’t stand putting on reading glasses to see my stats when I’m being active. Also, can’t read it outside at all. Very bummed.

Fitbit, please reply when there will be a fix to increase the  font size so we can decide to keep or send the product back
