Food log - foods not found and submitted

Wondering what happens to items you scan, are not found, and then you submit? I’ve don’t this with several foods but at the end of the day I have no idea if they were approved and added. On several occasions after submitting an item I scanned it again days apart and it still didn’t appear to exist in the food log. So do the foods submitted get approved and how would you know?

Let me help you with your food scan suggestions. When you send then as a suggestion it gets added as that, a suggestion for a new item to be added to the food database. This needs to be revised and the team is adding new items based on these suggestions but it doesn't mean that your specific item will be added. Still I appreciate you taking the time to add these suggestions and keep sending them as this helps the team determining which items are popular among users.
