GPS inaccuracy between walking and running when using Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve been running and walking the same route and use my inspire HR to track my route syncing with my phone GPS (iPhone XS). I noticed that if I walk it says a little over 1 mile and when I run it’s about 3 miles. I am walking and running with a stroller so my arms aren’t necessarily moving regularly. The routes are the same so i don’t know why the distance is completely different between the two. 3 miles is the most  accurate. Any suggestions in how to make this more accurate so I’m getting consistent results?

@KKVang Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR and the GPS distance calculation. I suggest you try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
