Garbage man - can he wear a Fitbit without breaking it?

Looking at purchasing a Fitbit Inspire HR for my husband who is a garbage man/outdoor labourer. Do you think he would break it or would it be feasible for him to wear it while working? Just don’t want him to shatter the screen. Thanks! 🙂

Welcome to the forums!

I myself would buy the Plain Inspire model as you can get a clip for it that he can attach to a belt or even put it in his pocket. I think a wrist model will not last to long for that type of work.

The HR model will not fit in the clip.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for your suggestion Wendy! I was hoping to get him a wrist type option so he could see the time while working as his phone currently tracks his steps and is kept in his pocket.. Is there another model of Fitbit that you could recommend that might be a bit more robust and less fragile or would a clip option in pocket be our only option at this point?

you can buy screen protectors and also little cases that cover the entire device on ebay. i'm not sure how well these work though as i am still waiting on my screen protector in the mail and since i work in an office didn't think i needed the case. but might be something to look into?

The Inspire like many Fitbit devices are extremely hard to read outside. I can’t read mine at all especially with the tiny font outside.
