Why is there a green flashing light on the back on Inspire HR?..

....Is it  harmful to your skin?

The green light is measuring your heart rate and no it's not harmful to your skin.

if the green light is for measuring heart rate then why is it still flashing after I’ve turned heart rate off. 

 

As much as I love the heart rate feature I’ve had to turn it off as my hand kept going numb and was painful to move after I began using it last week.

I’m afraid of getting actual nerve damage in my hands because of it but the green light still flashes which worries me and it’s only been a couple hours since I’ve turned it off to test it.
