Having set up issues with new inspire

My phone doesn't seem to find (via bluetooth) the device, I keep going through the motions, turning on and off the bluetooth on the phone and nothing seems to happen.  I charged the Insprie overnight this time to make sure it had a full charge before trying to snyc, but still nothing.

Also, I cannot figure out how to make the app show steps it doesn't show a circle with how many steps and what I've done.  That is why I purchased this ______ thing.
So far, after 3 days, it is utterly useless.....  so annoyed.

The app won't show any data (other than calories burned) until the set-up is completed and the fitbit it linked to the app.

 

Have you checked that your phone is supported by fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices ?

 

The link between the fitbit and phone needs to be done via the app rather than the phone's bluetooth settings. Can I just check that this is the setup process you are following: Help article: How do I set up my tracker?
