Heart rate and notifications not working on my Inspire HR

I have been reading post about the heart rate now working and the same thing is happening with my new Fitbit and nothing I do seems to work. In addition to my heart rate not working, it doesn’t notify me when I get texts even though it is set to do so.

Anyone have any tips? I’m about to return it.
