Heart rate isn’t working

My inspire 2 isn’t measering my heart rate. It shows grey on the device, doesn’t have data in the app and the light below the device is off. I already tried if it was turned off on the device, it wasn’t. I restarted the device two times but nothing changes. It has been this way since I unpacked the device yesterday afternoon.

@Gerdientje One feature of the Inspire 2 is that you have the option to wear it on your wrist or on a clip. If it is set to wear on a clip, the heart rate monitoring will be turned off and the green lights won't be on.  

To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the device. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist". If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

@alexthecat thank you very much. That was indeed the problem and the heartrate monitoring is now turned on because I set it to 'on wrist'.

I tried what you said. When I tap it, it says Enable on wrist?  All features are available. And nothing happens after I tap it.  And it worked fine till yesterday

@alexthecat , thank you so much for this post!  I've been trying to figure out why my inspire 2 wasn't registering the heart rate and other things and was about to give up and go to another brand of tracker.  Then I ran across the answer above and checked my device.  What do you know?  It was set to 'OnClip'.   I changed it to 'On Wrist' and now it works great again!  I'm so happy! LOL

What I didn’t realize at first was that you have to swipe when it says “on wrist” and tap on the check mark.

This wasn't exactly my question but it seems like it probably answered it. My Inspire 2 hasn't tracked my sleep in weeks. Hopefully this fixes that. 🤞
