Heart rate not tracking

My heart rate icon is gray. I can't see a place to turn it on. I went to settings on the app and there's no place to turn it on. Can't find one on the fitbit.

You are probable in 'on clip' mode instead of 'on wrist' in Quick Settings;  if not that, heart rate can be turned on/off in Settings.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
