Just got my Fitbit today and heart rate is greyed out when I swipe through and the testing bpm is constantly at 60 bpm. I’ve gone in settings to check it’s ‘ON’ and tried turning off then back on. I think it’s faulty?

Hi, @NinaButler , do you have an Inspire 2? Have you checked the setting to make sure it is set for “On wrist” and not “On clip”? If it is set to On clip the heart rate will not be available.
To check this, squeeze your Inspire 2 (I.e activate the haptic “buttons”) and that should bring up the settings menu. Tap and scroll to find On clip/ on wrist and make sure that On wrist is activated. That should turn heart rate back on.
Does that help?

Your recommendation matches the fitbit help file; however, I am having the same problem -- no heart rate tracking -- and I cannot find any OnClip or OnWrist setting, within the SETTINGS panels or anywhere. Helpfile says it's just below the DND setting, but that's not true on my Inspire2: below the DND setting is SLEEP MODE setting. I also tried moving the fitbit around to inside my wrist, and even had my husband wear it, but the heart circle still displays -- bpm

I just got mine 2 days ago and it worked great until on my way to work this morning . My HR stopped reading. I do not have the ‘on wrist’ thing your suggesting in my settings. I did once this morning when I was on chat with customer service but now I can’t find it?

Hi Julia , I got my new Fitbit yesterday, my old one broke. So I installed this one on my Fitbit app and I wore it last night all night and the beats per minute is not working and the sleep score is not working. I followed your directions about clip on, or wrists on, but there is not that option under my settings on my inspire 2. Is there something wrong with my Fitbit because I can’t find what you are suggesting.

No sleep analysis due to no heart rate tracking. Working intermittently with less features. No not on clip setting. Its not us. Its the device.

Hi, @Caliearts , you will find the “on wrist” “on clip” setting on the Inspire 2 if you give it a long squeeze which will activate the haptic “button”. The haptic button activates the Quick Settings menu. Swipe up to scroll through the settings.
If your Inspire 2 does not consistently detect your heartrate overnight then you will not see your sleep stages or sleep score. Is the green light flashing on the back of your Fitbit?

Hi, @Dantethecat , is your HR tracking working consistently during the day? Are the green lights flashing?

Yea! This worked-thank you!! It was the “long squeeze” that finally got me in the right place and it was on clip rather than on wrist.

It's the last option on the list when you hold the sides to make the quick settings appear. Once you find it you have to click on it, then scroll down until you see a cross or a tick and select one of them.
