Heart rate not working on Inspire HR

Hi. Just got my fitbit inspire hr today. It's the first time I have used a Fitbit. However the heart rate is not working. The green light is flashing on the watch and heart rate is switched to on also. Have tried resetting but this hasn't worked. Can anyone help please ?

Hi Lucia I am having the same problem as @parzival91

I have had this for about 2 weeks, I have enclosed 2 photos.. My HR monitor does work (Whilst im wearing it) But I'm not able to check graphs or anything about certain times of day or even cardio fitness score.

I am using the inspire HR, and can confirm i'm using a Samsung S10+, and I have enabled notifications and have autosync switched on.

This ended up being a temporary fix. Something seriously wrong with the firmware: it’s changing settings and running exercise routines on its own. I’ll probably quit using it.

My inspire is tracking heart rate again. After resync the HR monitor turned off. Just scrolled up to settings on the device and turned it back on again. It will still run exercise routines on its own, which I find out about when I “reach my goal”, but that’s a minor annoyance for me. 
Again, I just deleted my device from my phone app and then re-synced it, and it started tracking my heart rate again.

How do you find the heart rate tracking in the settings on my device to see if its turned on?

Tap icon to turn Heart rate OFF
Go to Fitbit app
Go into your personal profile, tap Inspire HR, scroll down and tap Sync Now
Then on your Fitbit again, go to settings and turn heart rate ON
Go to Fitbit app, profile, and resync

I tried all the steps you mentioned several times and no success! I am first time user and I am a IT graduated, I’ve never been so useless with technology till I bought inspire hr! Is there any way that I can see the heart rate on app, I can see the on the Fitbit device but there’s no number in the app and it shows “ - -“. I can see a curve of heart rate on the app for today but still no number. Can you please help?

Fix for Fitbit heart rate

On Fitbit Inspire HR, slide to view Settings icon
Slide to find Heart Rate icon
Tap icon to turn Heart rate OFF
Go to Fitbit app
Go into your personal profile, tap Inspire HR, scroll down and tap Sync Now
Then on your Fitbit again, go to settings and turn heart rate ON
Go to Fitbit app, profile, and resync
A Fitbit agent helped me with this and it worked!
To add mote items to Fitbit tap Discover at the bottom of the App screen. You can find heart rate there.

I just did online chat.  somehow I managed to set the heart rate to off and it affects everything else.  i had to scroll down like past exercise until I got to settings.  then scroll to heartbeat and turn it on.    she said the fact that I had it on off affected the sleep and exercise details too.

FYI - what has been unclear (or I just totally missed it) in these posts is the on/off heart rate setting is only found ON THE FITBIT screen, NOT on your phone fitbit app. Hope that helps someone. 

Once I figured this out, I made sure mine HR monitor was on and even turned it off then back on - still NOT working. I have reset the fit bit and reinstalled it on my iphone. Anyone have any other options to fix the missing heart rate or is factory reset and losing all my date the only way to go?

Same with me. It worked for the first 24 hours and now doesn't pick up my heart rate.

i called and she had me go to the settings on the tracker itself. Somehow
I had turned heart rate off. once she had me turn it back on it's been
fine.

I don't have an off or on setting in heart rate.  Only get to choose custom max heart rate and custom zone

Neither is there any setting called "auto".
