Heart rate not working on Inspire HR

Hi. Just got my fitbit inspire hr today. It's the first time I have used a Fitbit. However the heart rate is not working. The green light is flashing on the watch and heart rate is switched to on also. Have tried resetting but this hasn't worked. Can anyone help please ?

I ended up returning mine as faulty and getting the new one, it seems working for the last couple of days straight out of the box.

I did the same. Returned it and have had no problems with the new one.

I got a replacement Fitbit from the supplier (Currys PC World) and so far so good.

I just had the same problem and after a day I finally figured it out. The instructions are not clear. I don't know how many times I went into the dashboard trying to figure out where to turn the **ahem** heart rate on. Its because you have to turn it on the through the actual device, NOT the fitbit app. I must have accidentally turned it off or one of my kids messed with it. So to turn it on, scroll up from your clock display until it says "settings", then click the settings icon and it comes up right there, plain as day, HEART RATE...tap it to turn the selection to "ON" and hopefully that will fix it for you!

I ended up exchanging my device at Currys - the new one has worked perfectly so far with no issues. It must have been a faulty unit.

I've gone to all the settings online and on the app and cannot find where to see if the HR is turned on.  All I know is that it is not tracking.  I just received my Inspire HR yesterday.

I did that too, but the setting is on the device, not on the dashboard. Scroll up a little here, or go right to this post. That worked for me.

Thanks - exactly what the problem was. Would help if Fitbit wrote this on their instructions rather than the useless instructions that leave you scratching your head for non-existent settings on the app

My inspire hr still does not work properly with the heart rate. It never worked to begin with. I have installed with my Surface 2 laptop windows 10 and my cell phone which is a LG Thinq
