Hello @J-one, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
Thanks for participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I have moved your post from the iOS app board to the Inspire/Inspire HR board as this situation is related to the device itself and not the app.
With that said, at this moment, I would like to suggest you to restart your Inspire HR by following these steps:
If you're still able to see the heart rate on the screen, please go to the Fitbit app, tap on Account > Inspire HR > Clock Faces and let us know the one you're currently using. This will be very helpful for us to check this further.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, give these steps a try and let us know the outcome.

I'm having the same problem. Last night, while sitting on the couch, the heart rate stared climbing to 110-120 bpm. Manually checking my heart rate proved it was incorrect. It then went back down to normal and then back up. It did this several times. At that point, I performed a reset and allowed the device to charge fully. Now it is showing a heart rate even when not on my wrist. The clock face being used is simple stats.
