My heart rate monitor stopped. The green LED stopped blinking on my Inspire HR.
Resetting did not work.
Disconnect / removed from the app / profile did nothing.
I ended up erasing all personal data from it and then it worked.

@Archangels007 Welcome to the forums! Glad to see that you were able to get your HR working again.
For anyone who may be having a similar experience after updating to firmware version 1.57.15. You can resolve this by 'Clearing user data' found in the Settings app on the device. Please be sure to sync before you do this, but it is a pretty quick fix.
@DramaQueenDiva Thanks for flagging!

Hi @Archangels007, that's really weird an unexpected behavior from an Inspire device. I'll flag your post for a moderator to see so that they can look further into your case.

@Victoriaz If you have 'cleared user data' as mentioned above and it's still not working. I would perform a quick restart to get your device recording HR again.
I can also recommend performing each of the steps detailed in this article.
Feel free to let me know how it goes!

I’m having same issue right out of the box. Worked fine then 20 minutes later stopped working. Trying you solution.

Can you define ‘clear user data’?

Nothing suggested worked for me so I deleted the device and set it up again (which takes 2 mins) and it works fine now.

Hi Matt,
I bought my inspire HR yesterday and I’ve been trying to figure out why the heart rate is not being monitored.
I have been using the charge 3 before this.
Ive ensured the setting on my fit bit states heart rate monitoring is on, I have rebooted the device , I have rebooted my phone, I have cleared user date and it’s really frustrating I’m not sure if it’s faulty?

The settings on the device is missing or hiding. I simply cannot find it anywhere. Help!

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Heart rate used to read perfectly and now it gives me - - all the time. It will track that I’m exercising when I am, but will not track the heart rate during that exercise.
I tried all recommended solutions and I'm very disappointed

I find that uninstalling the Fitbit (‘remove this fitbit’) and reinstalling/syncing resolves almost any issue. It only takes a few minutes.

The same issue has occurred for me. I'm about to try the fix mentioned with clearing user data through the app. Hope it works.

Had the same problem. Followed the advise posted and removed the device from iPhone Fitbit app and reinstalled. Everything now works fine. Thanks Forum for a solution to a problem that was driving me crazy.

Had this problem for about 2 months already. Super annoying, couldn't find the answer in the FAQ either. All results didn't work. Also, there is no -settings- area in my app where I can select the heart rate and put it on auto. If I go to the dashboard, I can tap on the heart rate monitor. But from there, there seems nowhere to go?
Glad I finally found this topic. The answer for my problem was indeed deleting the fitbit connection from the app.
Open the app, go to the topright and go to your account. Then click -> Inspire HR -> scroll to the bottom and then delete this Inspire HR. Then reconnected again and all works well again. Finally...

Hi guys in the Customer Service dept,
My Fitbit Inspire has suddenly stopped reading my hear rate 24 hrs ago. The function suddenly became gray. Solutions I have tried:
1. I've tighten the band so that it doesn’t slip or move around my wrist. (The band is the original one.)
2. I've pressed and held the button on my tracker for 5 seconds then released it. A smiley face icon appeared and the tracker vibrates.
None of the above has brought my heart rate monitor function back online. Please help!
Thanks,
Jennifer

I was only able to get mine to restart measuring heart rate by unpairing and then pairing the device again.

Hi , Try swiping down to settings then check to make sure heart rate is
on. One time I inadvertently turned it off. Hope that helped.

Hi, my charge 2 hr has suddenly done the same thing and it’s really frustrating. I can’t find anything in the app that says ‘clear user data’ and I’ve searched all through settings, where should I be looking? Thanks
