I align my Fitbit to my Peloton biking and sometimes I struggle to get to a 130 average over 30 minutes.
One business trip- I had to resort to using a eliptical. My heartrate shot up to a 140 average- though exertion seemed the same. Is the Fitbit Inspire 2 that inconsistent or is the elliptical malfunctioning?

Welcome to the forums @nusya
Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding heart rate.
I'd recommend you follow the steps listed below in order to get an accurate heart rate data from the device. Even if you are using a bike or a eliptical, the tracker must record correct heart rate information. If you believe that it's a recurrent behavior, I recommend that you try restarting the device.
In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

I really hate the new heart rate display on the exercise portion of my inspire HR 2. Before it used to show you your maximum heart rate, and the scale showed in what range you were working if you were above peak. Now they don’t call peak peak anymore, and they don’t show what your maximum was, or what range you’re in above the peak line. I use an elliptical a lot, and this information was really important to me.
