my fitbit arrived today and I'm not happy ,I switched it on and already burnt 1200 calories ! just been for an hours walk and in total I've burnt 4000 calories and have done 10000 steps! this is impossible, I restarted my fit bit but nothing has changed ..can someone help me before I return the item please

Let me help you with your Inspire HR showing a high calorie and step count. Starting with the calories your device uses your personal information (age, weight, height, etc.) to calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which are the calories your body use to function normally. Check this information to discard any issue created by incorrect information entered here.
Regarding the steps, your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen while driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non-dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.

I'm having a problem with high step count, and I don't think it's due to any unusual movement....normally, it works great....I think I may have done something...how can I get it to be accurate again? I have already tried re-setting it
